In March we were approached by one of our new Agent Partners (Carringtons Property) to see if we could help one of their Vendors. He owned this 3 bedroom duplex apartment with a roof terrace situated on the 10th and 11th floor of a 70’s concrete construction building. These two components (concrete construction and the number of floors up) made raising a mortgage extremely difficult. The Vendor agreed to our predicted outcome range at auction of £380,000 - £400,000. After our first four-week marketing campaign we decided to withdraw the lot due to lack of commitment from the buying market. This was partially because of the Easter/school holidays and secondly agreeing that the property should benefit from a longer lead period. Four weeks thereafter we went back to auction and successfully sold the lot for £360,000.
